Many times I have been asked how to start playing this game and what to build first. Here are some small tips for the newbies :
1) Firstly, build a few cottages to increase the population and so that the peasants can work in the farm, sawmill and mines.
2) Subsequently, proceed to build farms, sawmills and mines.
3) Always follow the growth quests as it will lead you to grow in the game. You will get some resources upon completing the quest.
4) Increase the tax rate to 20%. (this is one of the requirement in the growth quest) and at the same time, you get more gold.
5) Increase production level to 100% for all production (this is one of the requirement in the growth quest)
6) When you have enough resources, you can start constructing other buildings.
7) Then you can start building your troops and start conquering the wilderness.
